Backyard Beer Fest

Client's Problem

The Rosslyn BID wanted to host an experience that would bring thousands of millennials to Rosslyn for a social, fun and engaging event to help change the perception that Rosslyn, VA is not just for business, but also for play. The Rosslyn BID is trying to increase the residential population from 8% to 15% in the next 5 years.

Our Solution

We, in partnership with Drink The World, created the festival concept “The Backyard Beer Fest”.

Hosted inside Gateway Park, this concept was geared to appeal to a younger, social demographic and expose local musical talent, local breweries and local fare as well as the surrounding neighborhood. The only large scale event that has been produced in the park previously was the Rosslyn Jazz Fest which is in it’s 25th year of existence. Utilizing the natural design of Gateway Park, Mars on Gravity designed the beer festival to host up to 5,000 people for a 4-hour session of unlimited beer tastings from over 60 breweries, food from 6 Arlington local food vendors and live musical performances from DC, Maryland and Virginia bands.
